Healthy Workplaces have two new additions!!

Stuart Reece (Healthy Workplaces Officer)

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am passionate about working with organisations to encourage employee engagement and improve health and wellbeing in the workplace. With 20 years of experience working in Wellbeing and Occupational Health I am enthusiastic and conscientious business manager. With a strong background in all areas of counselling, psychology, MSK, Wellbeing and Occupational Health. I have supported individual employees and worked closely with Senior Management, Human Resources, Occupational Health professionals, Trade Unions and Health and Safety groups to deliver effective Wellbeing and Sickness Absence Programmes to organisations in a wide range of industry sectors. I am looking to help business owners, HR, H&S and OH professionals within Leicestershire and Rutland to become accredited through the Healthy workplace Leicestershire and Rutland, Programme. Outside of work I'm u15s coach for my local cricket team, avid supporter of Ipswich Town Football Club, member of Market Harborough Golf Club and I to challenge myself with the occasional half marathon. I also campaign for Bliss premature baby charity, McMillian Cancer Support and Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

James White (Healthy Workplaces Support Officer)

Hi, my names James and I support with the design and implementation of Leicestershire County Council's Workplace Health programme. I am passionate about reducing mental health stigma, promoting workplace health and well-being, and ensuring staff feel comfortable to bring their whole selves to work. I started my career in the fitness Industry as a qualified personal trainer. Working daily with clients to achieve their goal gave me real buzz and sense of purpose. This was because my skills were generating a positive difference to someone's life. Working as a personal trainer gave me the opportunity to make positive impact not just on a person's fitness level but their overall well-being. From here I went on to study a degree in Policing with Criminal Investigation Management. After completing my degree, I developed a passion in mental health and wanted to expand my knowledge and understanding in this area. I joined the NHS as a Mental Health Support worker in a Forensic Unit. Throughout my three and half years in this role I developed excellent skills and knowledge, whilst delivering programmes to patients to support with their treatment. I then joined Leicestershire County Council and the Public Health sector. I started a role as Community Recovery Worker, covering Blaby District. As a Community Recover Worker, I built strong and effective personal relationship with communities, by promoting independence, inclusion, and participation, to enable individuals to achieve a good life within their local community. Recently I joined the Health Improvement Team, as the Healthy Workplaces Support Officer. I am very excited about this new role, and I am looking forward to being able to support organisation across Leicestershire & Rutland to become healthier places to work. Outside of work I enjoy going to watch the best football team in the world (Leicester City), home and away. Keeping active either in the gym or going for walks in the Peak District. And socialising with family and friends.
